A Capacity Building Programme for export promotion of agriculture and horticulture produce of Nagaland was held on February 9 at ADC Planning Hall, Ongpangkong RD Block, Mokokchung district. The programme was organised by Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in association with District Agriculture Office, Mokokchung.
Chairperson of the event, Dr. Lanunochetla, DAO Mokokchung, delivered the welcome address. Around 65 participants including officials from District Administration, District Agriculture Office, District Horticulture Office, SARS, KVK, NABARD, DIC, MSME, APMC as well as farmers and entrepreneurs attended the programme.
Experts from APEDA highlighted the role of the authority in exports, documentation requirements, schemes, and quality standards. Demonstrations were given on APEDA portal usage, IEC & RCMC registration via DGFT portal, PQMS portal for obtaining Phytosanitary Certificates, and ICEGATE registration for customs clearance.
During the discussion hour, officials from various departments interacted with farmers and entrepreneurs. APEDA experts briefed participants on procedures to avail schemes such as 75% subsidy for establishment of integrated packhouses and purchase of refrigerated vehicles.
