Nagaland: CII CEL launches Micro Business Excellence workshop in Dimapur

Dimapur

The CII Centre of Excellence on Employment & Livelihood (CII CEL) launched the Micro Business Excellence Workshop in Dimapur on February 10, marking Nagaland as the first state in the North-East region to implement the programme.
The workshop was designed to support current and aspiring entrepreneurs by focusing on key areas such as leadership clarity and capability building, strategies to enhance sales and expand operations, effective human resource management, financial literacy for better decision-making, cash-flow optimisation, and digital transformation to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market.
Over 35 entrepreneurs and business aspirants from various districts of Nagaland participated in the programme. All participants will be enrolled as members of the CII Dimapur Entrepreneurs Development Forum, which will provide access to industry mentors, resources, and a structured platform for regular interactions, discussions, and problem-solving sessions. The Forum aims to ensure continuous capacity building, enabling entrepreneurs to address challenges, scale enterprises, and unlock new growth opportunities.
Addressing the inaugural session, Kvulo Lorin, chairman of Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Limited (NIDC), highlighted the state’s significant potential in terms of natural resources, strategic geography, and entrepreneurial talent. He described the initiative as a timely intervention to strengthen micro and small enterprises in the region.
Lorin further emphasised the business potential of Dimapur district and urged entrepreneurs to continuously upgrade their skills, particularly in sales, marketing, and digital adoption, to remain competitive and sustainable in today’s dynamic market environment.
The CII CEL Micro Business Excellence Initiative seeks to strengthen micro-enterprises through structured capacity building, mentoring, and market-oriented support, contributing to inclusive economic growth and livelihood enhancement in Nagaland and the wider North-East region.
