Nagaland conducts Foundational Learning Study 2026

The National Assessment Centre (PARAKH), under the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), is conducting the nationwide Foundational Learning Study (FLS) 2026 to assess foundational competencies among Grade-3 students across the country. In Nagaland, the study is being carried out from April 13 to 14, 2026.
A total of 70 sampled schools from 10 districts, with 798 students from both government and private institutions, are participating in the assessment. To ensure smooth implementation, the state has deployed a dedicated workforce comprising two State Level Coordinators, 20 District Level Coordinators, and 70 Field Investigators, with 11 additional investigators kept on standby.
The Foundational Learning Study aims to generate reliable data on students’ learning levels, which will support evidence-based policy decisions and strengthen foundational education in line with national priorities.
