In a major political development, Namdatbou, the lone Congress councillor of Jalukie Town Council, has joined with the Naga People’s Front (NPF) on January 27, 2026 at Jalukie Town.
According to a press release, Namdatbou, along with all the Congress party representatives from Ward No. 3, joined NPF in the presence of chairman, Jalukie Town Council, Hadi, president, NPF 7 Peren A/C, Kurangbe, unit president, INC Jalukie Town Ward 3, Willingkhaibo along with senior leaders and party workers from the NPF.
Namdatbou, along with the party representatives from Ward No. 3, unanimously decided to join NPF in support of the leadership of T. R. Zeliang, deputy chief minister and Hadi, with the aim of strengthening the NPF party, the release stated.
The councillor stated that the decision was taken in the interest of development and good governance under the dynamic leadership of T. R. Zeliang. He also expressed confidence in the leadership of NPF president chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio and pledged to work for the growth and progress of the constituency and the party.
