Nagaland: Coordination and preparatory meetings for Republic Day celebrations held across districts

DIMAPUR

In the run-up to the 77th Republic Day celebrations, district administrations across Nagaland have begun intensive preparations to ensure smooth and befitting observance of the national event.
Coordination and preparatory meetings were convened in Niuland, Kiphire, Tizit and Tening, where officials from various departments, institutions and agencies reviewed responsibilities, finalized arrangements and emphasized inter-departmental cooperation for successful conduct of the programme.
NIULAND: A coordination meeting for the forthcoming Republic Day celebration was held at the DC’s Conference Hall, Niuland on January 16, chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Atsangla. During the meeting, assignments were allotted to various departments. ADC further informed that a mass social work will be conducted on January 23 from 6 a.m. onwards, directing all members present to actively participate.
KIPHIRE: District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was convened on January 15 at the DC’s Conference Hall, under the chairmanship of ADC Kiphire, Longdiba L. Sangtam. Welcoming new members and extending New Year greetings, the ADC reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting. SDO (Civil) Kiphire, Rozy Sangtam, highlighted work distribution for Republic Day preparations. Superintendent of Police, Chinise Chakasang, expressed gratitude to the district administration, Medical department and DPRO staff for their support during the Nagaland Police Constable Recruitment drive. He informed that Republic Day Parade rehearsals will begin after the written exam scheduled for January 20. EAC Kiphire, Takatemjen Pongen, reminded departments yet to register on SHE-BOX to complete the process at the earliest.
TIZIT: In view of the upcoming Republic Day, a coordination meeting was held at ADC’s Conference Hall, Tizit on January 16, chaired by SDO (Civil) Tumben P. Tsanglao.
Responsibilities for the celebration were distributed among departments and institutions. The chair urged all concerned to discharge their duties sincerely to ensure a befitting celebration. The meeting was attended by Heads of Offices, educational institutions, NGOs, public leaders, Ward Chairmen and GBs.
TENING: A preparatory meeting ahead of Republic Day was held at ADC’s Conference Hall, Tening on January 16, chaired by EAC Ihoilung Chuilo. The meeting reviewed and finalized arrangements including parade, national anthem, stalls, security, seating and essential services. Emphasis was laid on inter-departmental coordination for smooth execution of the programme.
Specific responsibilities were assigned to departments with instructions for timely completion. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the chair.
