Nagaland COVID tally 6163

A total of 123 COVID-19 positive cases were reported from across the state on Wednesday– 68 in Mon, 37 in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima and 2 in Tuensang, taking the tally to 6163.

As per the severity of symptoms, 1038 cases were asymptomatic, 33 mild and 4 moderate. Further, out of 6163 positive cases, 2930 cases were from the armed forces/police, 1497 returnees, 1394 traced contacts and 342 frontline workers.
India’s virus tally crosses 62 lakh
PTI adds: India’s COVID-19 tally raced past 62 lakh on Wednesday with 80,472 infections being reported in a day, while the number recoveries surged to 51,87,825, Health ministry stated.
The total number of coronavirus cases mounted to 62,25,763, while the death toll climbed to 97,497 with 1,179 people succumbing to the disease in a day.
