Nagaland: DC Kma opens new bypass road, issues traffic regulations

DIMAPUR

Deputy Commissioner and chairman, Regional Transport Authority, Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has notified that the newly completed bypass road adjacent to Khouchiezlie Local Ground, connecting the South Gate to the North Gate, has been opened for light motor vehicles with immediate effect.
According to DIPR, the bypass road will function strictly as a one-way route, moving from the South Gate towards Razhu Point Junction via the North Gate of Khouchiezlie Local Ground. Vehicular entry from Razhu Point Junction towards the North Gate has been restricted.
The notification further informed that all street vendors operating near Razhu Point area, NST area, DC Office Road and Phoolbari are to be relocated to designated vending spaces along the bypass road. KMC and Town Street Vending Committee will oversee the relocation arrangements at the earliest. It also clarified that parking of vehicles along the entire stretch of the bypass road is prohibited, while two-wheeler taxi parking at Razhu Point Junction will be shifted to the designated parking area opposite Ozone Café.
