The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Tseminyu, has been honoured with the “Best Performing District Child Protection Unit Award 2025” by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Mission Vatsalya, Nagaland. The award was conferred at the annual meet and pre-Christmas celebration held on December 5, at Highland Park, Kohima.
A press release by ADEO (DCPU) Tseminyu, Vekhotolu Curhah stated that the recognition was highlighted during the Tseminyu DPDB meeting cum advent Christmas programme on December 11, where MLA and DPDB Chairman Ar. Jwenga Seb, along with deputy commissioner and DCPU chairman Japheth Woch, commended the achievements of the DCPU.
Ar. Seb lauded the unit for bringing laurels to the district through its dedication to child welfare, while the DC Tseminyu emphasized the growing impact of the DCPU in addressing child protection and welfare issues and setting an example for others district and beyond.
