Dimapur District Truck Owner Association (DDTOA) and Dimapur District Truck Driver Welfare Trade Union (DDTDWTU) have strongly condemned what they called as “unethical and barbaric act” committed by some unidentified individuals who burned a TMT rod- laden truck (NL-07AA-2863) on NH-2 near Kabinam village, Maram in Manipur on March 3, 2026 at around 8am.
In a joint statement, DDTOA president Hokheto Kiba and DDTDWTU president Kuhoi Zhimomi have, therefore, appealed to the Manipur government to urgently take up the matter, launch investigation and apprehend those responsible. The two unions also demanded that stringent punishment be award to those found guilty so no such “inhuman incident” did not repeat.
