Nagaland: Deputy CM Patton flays hit-and-run incident

DIMAPUR, DEC 29 (NPN)

State deputy chief minister Y Patton, who is also minister in-charge of home and border affairs, has strongly condemned the hit-and-run incident on NH-2 that led to the death of late Meribemo R. Patton and serious injury to Hayithung T. Shitiri.
According to media cell of deputy chief minister’s office, Patton said that such reckless conduct reflected a grave disregard for human life and would not be tolerated.
The deputy chief minister assured that all necessary measures were being taken to trace, arrest, and bring the offender to justice without delay. “No individual involved in such acts will be allowed to escape accountability,” Patton stated.
