New Director General of Assam Rifles (DGAR) Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, called on the state chief minister Neiphiu Rio and governor La Ganesan at Kohima on December 5, 2024.
Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, who had earlier served as IGAR (N), assumed charge as DGAR on August 1, 2024. He also visited HQ IGAR (North) at Kohima.
In a post on X, chief minister said “Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, the new Director General of the Assam Rifles, called on me. I extend my best wishes to him for a successful tenure.”
Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, also called on Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan and discussed the role of Assam Rifles in North East at Kohima.
