Nagaland: Dimapur airport restores normal operations

DIMAPUR, DEC 10 (NPN)

After a series of IndiGo flight cancellations that began on December 5, 2025, the Dimapur airport has announced the restoration of normal flight operations.
In a press release, Airports Authority of India (AAI) Dimapur airport director, M Pongen, informed that 6 out of 18 IndiGo flights were cancelled between December 5 and December 10.
Pongen said airline’s On-Time Performance (OTP) was more than 90% during that period.
However, airport director said IndiGo has since processed and cleared refunds for all affected passengers up to December 10, 2025. As of December 10, Pongen said all pending baggage had been delivered to passengers, except three baggage from Delhi, which was yet to receive but not pertaining to the current crisis.
During the disruption period, Pongen said no other airline operating at Dimapur Airport—including Air India Express and Alliance Air—reported any cancellations. All other scheduled operations continued smoothly, he added.
To support passengers affected by the cancellations, the director said AAI Dimapur airport implemented a series of proactive and passenger-centric measures.
Further, to facilitate passenger movement, Dimapur airport coordinated with Alliance Air
network team to operate additional relief flights to Guwahati and Kolkata from
December 5-10, 2025, helping ease congestion and maintain essential connectivity.
AAI Dimapur Airport has extended appreciation to all passengers for their patience, cooperation, and understanding during the period. The airport reaffirmed its commitment to providing safe, efficient, and passenger-friendly services at all times. For any information, assistance, or support at Dimapur Airport, passengers could contact the designated Control Centre at 9436031288.
