Dimapur Police observed National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) throughout October by organizing a series of activities aimed at promoting cyber safety, enhancing digital literacy, and encouraging responsible online behavior.
In a press release, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur, informed that lectures on cybercrime, cyber hygiene, and cybersecurity were conducted at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, St. Paul Higher Secondary School, and Livingstone Foundation International, Dimapur.
To further raise public awareness, cyber safety posters were displayed at various locations and pamphlets distributed across the town.
Students from 30 schools actively participated in the initiative, including Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Livingstone Foundation International, Cornerstone Higher Secondary School, GMS Duncan, Liz Woodland School, Lorna’s Higher Secondary School (Bangjak Phom Colony, Walford), Government Higher Secondary School (Lengrijan), GMS Midland, St. Stephen’s Higher Secondary School, GPS Kaharigaon (Phevima), Lima Aier Higher Secondary School, Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School, Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, MGM Higher Secondary School, Christian Higher Secondary School, El-Shaddai Academy (Duncan Road), CMHSS (Aoyimti), New Horizon School, Xuvihe Memorial School, Eden Higher Secondary School, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Little Star Higher Secondary School, Mount Hermon School (Darogajan), St. John Higher Secondary Residential School, HMC High School, GMS Duncan Ao, Hollotoli School, Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School, and Pilgrims School.
Dimapur Police expressed appreciation to the schools and the public for their active participation, which contributed significantly to spreading awareness and encouraging citizens to stay informed about cybercrime threats and adopt safer online practices.
