Directorate of Higher Education has informed all the beneficiaries of the Post Matric Scholarship to ST Students of Nagaland for the Academic Year 2024-25, whose applications were verified at the State Level, that the scheme implementing agency has processed payment for second phase and final payment (one-time full payment) to 19381 beneficiaries on November 11, 2025.
In a press release, higher education ex-officio director V. Lovitoly Sema the students, whose names were on the second phase beneficiary list but have not received their scholarships, to ensure Aadhaar linkage with their bank accounts and enable for DBT payment.
The department informed that the list of the beneficiaries whose bank accounts were not enabled for DBT was available on the directorate’s website https://highereducation.nagaland.gov.in.
The department stated that PMS-ST was a centrally sponsored scheme (90:10), jointly supported by the ministry of tribal affairs and the state government. It said that the state government consistently released its share promptly upon receipt of the central government’s contribution.
Consequently, the department said it was able to initiate payments only after the requisite funds were released by the designated funding agencies.
The department stated that in the phase-I (paid in June 2025) total amount of Rs.3071.49 lakh was paid to 22,412 beneficiaries and in the phase-II (November 11, 2025) total amount of Rs.2566.57 lakh was being paid to 19381 beneficiaries.
