The first edition of the Family Carnival organised by the Dimapur Lotha Youth Organization (DLYO) commenced here on Tuesday at Duncan Basti, Dimapur, opposite the Nayara Petrol Pump, and will continue till December 19.
A total of 20 stalls have been set up at the venue, showcasing a variety of games, toys, attractive items and exotic food.
The event was dedicated by Dimapur Lotha Baptist Church (DLBC) Rev. Dr. Yanbemo Lotha, while the ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Transport Department, Government of Nagaland, Myingthungo Ababe Ezung.
The carnival will be open daily from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., with free entry for all visitors.
According to the organisers, the event aims to provide wholesome entertainment for families and the local community.
Several attractions, including food stalls, games, face painting and other recreational activities suitable for all age groups, have been arranged for the four-day event.
