Nagaland DoSE felicitates Ntl Teacher awardee

DIMAPUR

The Directorate of School EducationM (DoSE), Nagaland, today organized a special felicitation programme to honour Peleno Petenilhu, PGT John GHSS Viswema National Teacher Awardee, 2025.
A press release by principal director, Shashank Pratap Singh, stated that the event was held at Morung Conference Hall, DoSE Kohima, where senior officials, school heads, teachers, and staff gathered to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of the awardee.
The National Teacher Award, conferred annually by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, recognizes exceptional educators who demonstrate innovation, dedication, and significant impact on student learning.
Peleno Petenilhu was selected for the National Teachers’ Award – 2025 through a rigorous three stage – district, state and national online selection process for her innovative teaching technique particularly “Each One – Teach One” intervention
Speaking at the programme, Advisor, School Education & SCERT Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, commended the awardee for bringing national recognition to the state.
He emphasized that the achievement reflects the commitment and hard work of teachers across Nagaland who continue to strive for excellence despite challenges.
He added, “This honour is not only a personal achievement but an inspiration for the entire teaching community of Nagaland.”
