MLA Dr. Neisatuo Mero on Thursday said that the progress in the field of education, technology and economy, can shape “our future and make our life more purposeful.”
“In the midst of all those advancements and power in technologies, it can be at times detrimental for our society if it is not used in a right direction,” Dr. Mero said while addressing the 67th General Session of the Zuketsa Students’ Union (ZSU) at Zuketsa in Phek district.
Referring to the war which broke out in the recent years, wherein developed and beautiful cities are being downed in rubbles and also burned in ashes, Dr. Mero said “Technologies and war machineries and military strength should be used in the right direction. If not, it can destroy human beings with its own creation.”
Let us see the brighter side of the technologies that can ease our life and comfort us, he said.
He also enlightened the gathering about the power of science, making a special reference to Artificial Intelligence Hospital, developed by China, wherein AI doctors and nurses have potential to treat 3000 patients in a day.
You must realize in what era you are living in and you must know yourself and empower yourself in the highest form to seek education and to progress in life, Dr. Mero told the students.
Kedoutsolhi Wetsah, president, Zuketsa Area Public Organisation (ZAPO) shared greetings at the session.
He urged upon the students and youth to avoid over-dependence on public sector roles by embracing tireless hard work, skill development, entrepreneurship, and a deep-rooted cultural identity.
