The draft photo electoral roll for 28 Koridang (ST) Assembly Constituency, Mokokchung district, where a by-election is due, has been published with the schedule of activities notified by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland.
In a notification, Bhagyashree Banayat, Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland, informed that as per the notification, the Integrated Draft Electoral Roll was published on January 3, 2026. The period for filing claims and objections will be from January 3 to January 24, 2026, with disposal of claims and objections by February 7, 2026. The final publication of the electoral roll is scheduled for February 14, 2026.
The number of electors as per the draft roll stands at 21,586, comprising 10,956 male and 10,630 female voters. This includes 125 service electors (124 male and 1 female).
Electors/applicants may file claims and objections in Forms 6/7/8 with the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) or Electoral Registration Officer (ERO). Forms will be available for download from the Election Commission of India (ECI) and CEO Nagaland websites, and applications can also be submitted online at www.voters.eci.gov.in.

There are a total of 30 notified polling stations in 28 Koridang (ST) AC. The ERO will share the list of claims and objections with recognized political parties on a weekly basis.
Under Section 24 of the Representation of People Act, 1950, appeals may be filed against decisions of the ERO to the District Magistrate [Section 24(a)], and a second appeal against the decision of the first appellate authority may be filed before the CEO [Section 24(b)], as prescribed under Rule 27 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
