Nagaland: Dy C-in-C FGN refutes defection claims

Dimapur

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Naga Army, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Thupuveyi Tsori, has issued a clarification refuting claims made in a press statement dated November 28 regarding the alleged defection of senior NNC/FGN members to GPRN/NNC (AB).
In a statement, Tsori denied that the Chief of Army, his deputy, and immediate subordinate T.M. Rhakho had joined the rival group. He asserted that Langshe Khiamniungan and Naro Kikon, named in the earlier report, were habitual defectors affiliated with the Akavi Chishi group and not members of NNC/FGN. FGN further issued a strong caution to Langshe Khiamniungan and Naro Kikon, warning of grave consequences if they are found tarnishing the image of the National Government in future.
