Nagaland: DYO 40th Khel tournament concludes

The 40th Khel Tournament 2025 of Diezephe Youth Organization (DYO) concluded on December 31, commemorating four decades of sporting excellence and youth engagement.
The closing ceremony was graced by Neiketulie Namdau, Project Associate, NECTAR, Directorate of School Education, as guest of honor. Addressing the gathering, Namdau urged athletes to uphold the true spirit of sportsmanship both on and off the field. He reminded players to remain grateful to their parents and supporters, and inspired them with the words, “The future belongs to those who believe in their dreams.” He further emphasized the role of families in nurturing young talent, stating that today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders.
On the sporting front, D-Khel emerged as football champions, with C-Khel finished runners-up. In men’s volleyball, C-Khel claimed the championship title while B-Khel settled for second place. The women’s volleyball crown went to D-Khel, with B-Khel finishing as runners-up. The tournament concluded with a solemn closing prayer offered by pastor Lyn Lohe of CBC Diezephe, bringing the landmark 40th edition of the Khel Tournament to a memorable close.
