Nagaland: ECI orders SSR for Koridang A/C

DIMAPUR, DEC 27 (NPN)

Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered Special Summary Revision (SSR) of photo electoral rolls with reference to January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date for 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency where bye-election is due.
The bye-election has been necessitated following the demise of sitting MLA Imkong L Imchen on November 11, 2025. Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has already declared as vacant the 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency seat with effect from November 12, 2025.
In a press release, chief electoral officer (CEO) Nagaland Bhagyashree Banayat informed that as per the schedule of activities, rationalization of polling stations would be done by December 29, 2025; publication of integrated draft electoral roll on January 3, 2026; period for filing claims & objections from January 3-24, 2026; disposal of claims and objections by February 7, 2026 and final publication of electoral roll on February 14, 2026.
CEO informed that electors/applicants can file any of the following forms—form 6 for new voter, form 6A for inclusion of name by an overseas elector, form 7 for objection for proposed inclusion/deletion of name and form 8 for shifting of residence/correction of entries in existing electoral roll/replacement of EPIC/marking of PwD—with the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO) or with the AERO and ERO.
It also informed that applicant can voluntarily furnish his/her Aadhaar Number in Form 6 and Form 8.
CEO stated that forms were available for download in ECI and CEO’s website.
Applications can also be filed/submitted online through www.voters.eci.gov.in (links are provided in the ECI and CEO’s website).
