The East Dimapur Bossiness Association (EDBA) has decided to dissolve the Nomination Committee/Interim Body.
This was resolved at the an emergency meeting of the general body held on Wednesday where members strongly protested against the undemocratic move of the three members of the nomination committee/interim body by exercising powers beyond their mandated roles.
According to EDBA sessional chairman Azolo Nuh and sessional secretary Mulato Achumi, the meeting decided that the new nomination committee would be constituted as per the EDBA constitution.
Further, the house noted that the interim body had no constitutional standing and was against EDBA constitution, and hence declared it as null and void. The members also decided that in future no interim body would be formed.
The house also warned the convener of nominating committee/interim body for committing gross misdeed by attempting to amend the constitution for personal interest without the knowledge and consent of the general body. It asked the convener to desist from such activities and urged members not to associate/cooperate with him in any matter of EDBA.
