Nagaland: Eden Garden Children’s Park inaugurated at St. Anthony School

DIMAPUR

St. Anthony School, Tenyiphe-I, inaugurated its newly installed Eden Garden Children’s Park on January 28, providing a dedicated space for students to nurture curiosity and energy through play.
The initiative, aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) which emphasizes “learning by doing” and integration of physical education into the core curriculum, was personally undertaken by school principal Adv. Fr. Siby John. He mobilized an amount of Rs.10 lakh from relatives and friends residing in the U.S.A, England and Ireland to realize the project.
The park was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Dipak Kumar Shukla, Vice Chancellor, International University Nagaland, and blessed by Rev. Fr. M.P. Thomas SDB, former provincial of Salesian Province, Dimapur.
Delivering the welcome address, Fr. Siby John highlighted the benefits of the Children’s Park for holistic student development, stating it would foster teamwork, discipline and leadership. He added that by providing such infrastructure, the school is ensuring a flexible, multi-level and play-based approach to education.
