Nagaland: EDTC notifies on advt under Municipal Act

East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has notified that all matters relating to advertisements of any kind within the jurisdiction of East Dimapur Town will fall under its authority in pursuance of the provisions laid down under the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023.
In a press release, EDTC stated that permissions, regulations, controls and enforcement concerning advertisements including hoardings, banners, posters, kiosks, digital displays and other forms of public advertisements shall be strictly governed by the Town Council as per the Municipal Act, 2023.
EDTC informed that in case of any confusion, doubt or misunderstanding regarding advertisement rules, procedures, permissions or jurisdiction, concerned individuals, organizations or government departments may visit the EDTC office during working hours for clarification and guidance.
It further encouraged cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure proper regulation, uniformity and orderly management of advertisements within East Dimapur Town in accordance with the law.
