Nagaland entrepreneur wins national startup award

DIMAPUR: Nagaland entrepreneur Juboni Beni Tungoe has been recognised as the “Women-Led Startup of the Year” at the Global Leadership Summit 2026 held on October 24 at ITC Welcomhotel, New Delhi.
The award highlights the growing entrepreneurial potential of Nagaland and the increasing contribution of women-led enterprises in creating business opportunities, generating employment and strengthening the state’s economic landscape.
Tungoe is the proprietor of Lintsen Enterprise, a Class-I contracting and supplying firm with diversified business interests across multiple sectors. Under its umbrella are Lintsen Treats, which provides school tiffin catering and canteen services; ALPHABUILD, specialising in uPVC solutions; and Chingu Social & Co., a Kohima-based social enterprise.
Her ventures span contracting and supply, food services, building solutions and social entrepreneurship, reflecting a diversified business model that extends beyond a single industry.
Organised by the Global Triumph Foundation (GTF), the summit brought together entrepreneurs, innovators and industry leaders from across the country to recognise excellence in leadership, innovation and enterprise.
Tungoe’s national-level recognition has brought wider visibility to Nagaland’s emerging business ecosystem and underscores the growing contribution of entrepreneurs from the state to India’s evolving startup landscape.
The achievement is also seen as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs across the Northeast, demonstrating how homegrown enterprises can expand their reach, diversify operations and gain national recognition while remaining rooted in their communities.
