Former Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (MLA) P. Mongchua (Mongchua Khiamungan) passed away at his residence in Tuensang on Monday.
Father of NPP MLA Benei M. Lamthiu, late Mongchua was elected in 1974 from 57 Thonoknyu Assembly Constituency on UDF ticket.
NPP Nagaland unit condole: National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland state unit expressed sorrow over the demise of the late P. Mongchua.
NPP Nagaland state unit through its media & IPR cell described late Mongchua as a respected public leader and among the early legislators of Nagaland, who served the people with dedication, simplicity, and a deep sense of responsibility.
The party said his contribution to public life and his legacy of service would always be remembered with honour.
NPP unit expressed solidarity with Benei M. Lamthiu, MLA, and the bereaved family members. NPP unit prayed that the departed soul rests in eternal peace and that the family finds strength and solace in this difficult hour.
NPWF unit: National People’s Women Front (NPWF) Nagaland state unit expressed grief over the demise of Mongchua, describing him as a respected elder and a dedicated public servant.
In a condolence message, NPWF state unit said late Mongchua’s lifelong commitment to the welfare of the people, particularly in Tuensang district and the Eastern Nagaland region, left behind a legacy of service, integrity, and quiet strength that would continue to inspire generations.
The unit extended condolences to Benei M. Lamthiu, MLA, bereaved family members, and all loved ones.
NPWF unit prayed that the Almighty grant the family strength and courage to endure this sorrow, and the departed soul find eternal peace and rest in His divine presence.
NPYF unit: National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) Nagaland state unit mourned the passing of P. Mongchua, who it said served the people of his constituency and the state with dedication during his tenure as a legislator.
NPYF unit thorough its media cell said his passing was a significant loss not only to his family but to the community he served.
The youth front also extended sympathies and solidarity to Benei Lamthiu, MLA, and bereaved family.
It prayed that the Almighty God grant them the strength and solace needed to bear this irreparable loss.
