Nagaland: Ex-Servicemen League Mkg celebrates Silver Jubilee

The Ex-Servicemen League Mokokchung celebrated its Silver Jubilee on Thursday at the 12 Assam Rifles Playground with Lt. Gen. Abhijit S Pendakhar, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
Addressing the jubilant veterans, the chief guest Lt. Gen. Abhijit S Pendakhar, GOC 3 Crops, stated that he was happy to be in Mokokchung amongst veterans who have sacrifice a lot for the country with in depth values.
Pendakhar remarked that a soldier never retires and the celebration of the silver jubilee is a milestone to acknowledge the supreme sacrifice. He further saluted the veterans for their resilience and dedication to the nation, while advocating that veterans will now remain a support of strength to the society with discipline and integrity, for peace and prosperity of the country.
Earlier, short speeches were delivered by director of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement, Capt. (IN) Lalsuonglien Tonsing (Retd), deputy commissioner Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, vice president of Ao Senden, Aowati and the vote of thanks was proposed by President, ESM League Mokokchung, Sub. Maj. Moatemsu (Retd).
The souvenir and momento was released by the chief guest, while the Invocation was said by senior pastor, MTBA, Rev. Ponen Longchar along with the minute of silence for the departed veterans, and the benediction was said by KBC, pastor Kikum Longkumer.
