Nagaland: FAN hosts 5-day intensive screenwriting workshop

The Film Association of Nagaland (FAN) organised a 5-day screenwriting workshop from February 9 to 13 at the Conference Hall, IPR Citadel, Kohima. The aim of the workshop was to develop the art of storytelling and screenwriting skills among its members and aspiring filmmakers.
According to a press release, the workshop was conducted by renowned screenwriter, producer, director, teacher, performer and founder of Element 79 Films, Munish Bhardwaj as the resource person.
In the workshop, the participants were exposed to the fundamentals and art of screenwriting. The training included understanding the development and language of cinema, plot, story, and setting, visual thinking and elements of a screenplay, theme, premise, and screenplay structure, conflict, subplots, and character development, scene writing and dialogue writing, writing for series versus feature films and reverse writing using short films to understand screenplay.
The event concluded with an interactive valedictory session and a question-and-answer round, allowing participants to engage with the expert and resolve their creative as well as technical concerns.
