She also encouraged students to rethink career options in Political Science, explaining that while the subject provides lens to understand systems, development sector offers tools to transform them.
She described Political Science as a discipline rooted in policy, governance, and empathy, emphasizing that it equips students to solve real-world problems. She also presented various emerging global career pathways, including development consulting, global policy and research, climate and sustainability governance, social impact and NGOs, CSR and ESG, and data, technology, and governance.
She urged students to build cross disciplinary knowledge, seek international exposure through fellowships and internships, gain practical experience with NGOs, and think tanks, and develop digital fluency in data, visualization, and AI literacy.
She reminded students that their degree was not their destiny, but that it is their curiosity that widens the road ahead for their career.
