Nagaland: Fire at Zhasa Colony, Burma camp

A fire incident occurred at Zhasa Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur on Saturday afternoon, affecting one family but causing no casualties.
According to fire officials, the call was received at 3:32 p.m.
Two water tender pumps (WTPs) from Central Fire Station were immediately pressed into service. The blaze, which engulfed a one-room kitchen constructed of wood with metal sheet roofing and walls attached to the main RCC building, was brought under control within 13 minutes.
Two additional WTPs from West Fire Station were dispatched for reinforcement but returned midway after the fire had already been contained by the first crew.
Officials suspect the fire originated from the electric control panel due to a short circuit. Property worth an estimated Rs. 1 lakh was destroyed in the incident.
