Nagaland fire destroys four houses in Lama Basti

A fire broke out late Wednesday night at Lama Basti, Borlengri destroying four Assam-type houses and affecting two families. No casualties reported.
According to fire officials, after a call was received at 10:37 p.m., fire tenders reached the spot by 10:55 p.m., and the blaze was bought under control in 50 minutes. A total of five fire tenders were deployed to control the blaze, including two from the Central Fire Station, two from the West Fire Station, Dimapur, and one from Assam Fire Station.
At the time of filing the report the cause of the fire remains unknown and the extent of property damage has been estimated at around Rs. 30 lakh.
