Nagaland: Fire guts 2 houses, furniture shop

Two residential houses and a furniture shop were gutted in a fire incident that broke out at Thilixu Block-2 on Friday noon.
According to fire officials, around eight persons were affected by the incident. On receiving information, three fire tenders from the Central Fire Brigade were rushed to the site and pressed into service to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained, while the extent of damage is yet to be assessed at the time of filing this report.
