A 14-day First Person View (FPV) Drone Training Programme, organised by the Nagaland GIS & Remote Sensing Centre (NGISRSC) through its Drone School – Drone Centre of Excellence, commenced on January 27, 2026, under the Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) at Kohima.
According to DIPR, the training aims to equip participants with high-precision piloting skills and immersive control techniques essential for real-world drone applications. Ten selected candidates are undergoing the intensive module, which includes FPV drone assembly, simulator-based flight training, live operations, aerial manoeuvring, safety protocols and basic troubleshooting.
On successful completion, trainees will be awarded a Certificate of Completion, certifying their proficiency and readiness for entry-level drone operations and services. Droneverse Aviation Pvt. Ltd., the Industry Partner for NGISRSC, will provide placement support along with practical exposure in drone-based service sectors.
Officials informed that the initiative marks a significant step in the State’s broader strategy to empower youth, create technology-driven livelihood opportunities and build a robust drone ecosystem. The FPV training also complements upcoming DGCA-certified Remote Pilot Courses and other specialised non-DGCA modules in drone maintenance and sector-specific operations.
