Nagaland: Free health camp conducted in Dimapur

A two-day free health check-up camp was organised by Shree Digamber Jain Charitable Hospital, in collaboration with Jain Yuvak Sangh and Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, to provide specialised medical services to the public.
The camp, held at Shree Digamber Jain Charitable Hospital, Kalibari Road, Dimapur, commenced on January 31 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and concluded on Sunday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Free services were offered in the departments of Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology and Urology. Facilities included registration, doctors’ consultation, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) test, Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Electrocardiogram (ECG), Blood Pressure (BP) check and Random Blood Sugar (RBS) test. Consultations were conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
A team of specialist doctors from Medanta and associated hospitals attended the camp, including Dr. Pawan Rawal (Gastroenterology), Dr. Manish Jain (Nephrology), Dr. Vaibhav Sharma (GI Surgery), Dr. Karan Gupta (Head and Neck Oncology), Dr. Sheikh Shamim (General Physician) and Dr. Rajat Pachori (Cardiology), assisted by six paramedical staff.
Medanta Hospital Manager Ravi Kumar Verma informed Nagaland Post that around 100 patients availed medical services on day one, while 103 patients attended on the concluding day.
He said patients diagnosed with serious health conditions were advised to undergo further treatment at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, where discounted rates would be provided. Verma added that this was the first time Medanta Hospital, Gurugram had organised such a medical camp in the North East region.
Meanwhile, Kishore Gangwal, secretary of Shree Digamber Jain Charitable Hospital, said the initiative was aimed at making quality healthcare accessible to the public while promoting early detection and prevention of serious health issues. He added that the hospital, in association with Jain Yuvak Sangh, remains committed to serving the community through continued medical outreach and welfare programmes.
