G. Ikuto Zhimomi calls on ENSSU to embrace change

DIMAPUR

Advisor to Land Resources, G. Ikuto Zhimomi called upon students to embrace change and explore diverse career opportunities while addressing the 19th General Conference of the Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students’ Union (ENSSU) at Natsami village under Kiphire district.
Speaking before the students, Zhimomi emphasized the need for young people to adapt to a rapidly changing world and remain open to emerging opportunities beyond traditional career paths.
He stated that with changes taking place across all sectors, students must also be prepared to evolve and remain flexible in order to succeed in a dynamic global environment.
Highlighting employment prospects, Zhimomi said that government jobs are no longer the only option available to today’s youth, pointing out that numerous opportunities exist across various fields.
He also reminded aspirants that entry into government service is now strictly through competitive examinations, with no scope for backdoor appointments or political recommendations, and urged students to plan their goals accordingly.
Zhimomi further shared statistical insights on student employment and unemployment in Nagaland, stressing the importance of skill development and preparedness to address present-day challenges.
