Satakha Old Students Union celebrated its Golden Jubilee (1975–2025) under the theme “Honoring the Glorious Past, Envisioning the Promising Future” on December 27 at Satakha Old Baptist Church, with Minister of Roads and Bridges, G. Kaito Aye, as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, Aye commended the pioneers who established the Union, noting that under their visionary leadership it has reached this milestone. He emphasized that with societal advancement, a village’s and society’s progress depends on education, stating, “If children are literate, the village will progress.” Stated PRO to Minister.
He praised Satakha students who have succeeded in competitive exams and urged them to continue excelling. Highlighting Satakha Old as a pioneer contributing significantly to the people. He challenged attendees, saying that merely celebrating 50 years is not enough. “We must reflect on what the village and union have impacted and contributed to Satakha and the Sumi community in general—this should be our priority,” he emphasized.
He urged students to give their best to build Satakha and appealed to the people to unite in building a new Satakha. He noted that the Satakha Constituency is a key stakeholder contributing to the Sumi and Naga people, calling for support to its welfare and legacy.
Emphasizing quality education, Aye urged all Satakha citizens to enroll students in Satakha Government Higher Secondary School. “We have highly qualified and trained teachers,” he informed, encouraging everyone to study in Satakha Town.
