The four-day long G. Rio Memorial Volleyball Trophy (12th Kohima Open Tournament for Men and Women), organised under the aegis of the Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA), entered its third day on Wednesday at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground.
Semi-finalist teams have been directed to report to the venue at 8:30 a.m. on November 20. The closing ceremony of the tournament will be graced by C. Manpon Konyak, MLA at 1:00 p.m. the same day.
Day 3 Results
Women’s Category (League Round & Quarterfinals): Serenity Spiker’s Kohima defeated Titan’s Club Kohima; Teen Star Manipur defeated Terhüpourie Mezoma (1st Quarterfinal); Titan’s Club Kohima defeated Elite Sister’s Club Kohima (2nd Quarterfinal); MADFA Dimapur defeated Senapati Sporting Club Manipur (3rd Quarterfinal); and Serenity Spiker’s Kohima defeated Dreamers Kohima (4th Quarterfinal).
In the Women’s Semi-Finals on Thursday, Teen Star Manipur will face Titan’s Club Kohima MADFA Dimapur vs Serenity Spiker’s Kohima.
Men’s Category (League Round & Quarterfinals): MH-10 Kohima defeated Tantrum Volleys Jotsoma; Rinal Volleyball Club Assam defeated Kiruphema Youth Organisation (B); Zing-Zing Kezo Town defeated New Sendenyu Youth Organisation; MH-10 Kohima defeated Senapati Sporting Club Manipur (1st Quarterfinal); Kiruphema Youth Organisation (B) defeated Rinal Volleyball Club Assam (2nd Quarterfinal); Kazi Najrul Assam defeated Southern Angami Sports Association (3rd Quarterfinal); Zing-Zing Kezo Town defeated Kiruphema Youth Organisation Junior (4th Quarterfinal).
In the Men’s Semi-Finals on November 20, MH-10 Kohima will take on Kiruphema Youth Organisation (B) while Kazi Najrul Assam will play against Zing-Zing Kezo Town.
