Nagaland: Gandhi Shilp Bazaar inaugurated at Mkg

DIMAPUR

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Mokokchung, Atsungba Walling, inaugurated the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar at Town Hall, Mokokchung, on January 20, 2026. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
According to a DIPR report, Walling in his address encouraged the public to visit the bazaar to support both local and national artisans and to experience the rich cultural heritage reflected in handmade crafts.
The exhibition-cum-sale will continue for seven days, from January 20 to 26, and will remain open daily between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Organizers said the prestigious event aims to provide a platform for artisans from across the country to showcase their craftsmanship.
The bazaar will feature a wide range of authentic handicrafts and handloom products, offering citizens of Mokokchung an opportunity to witness and purchase traditional arts directly from the creators.
