Nagaland gets its first-ever open-format talent show with ‘Dekhai Dibo’

Nagamemes Enterprise (NE) has announced the launch of Nagaland’s most anticipated reality talent show, “Dekhai Dibo,” during a press conference held on Thursday at Hotel Grand Tizu, Dimapur. Aimed at discovering, nurturing, and celebrating the hidden talents of Nagaland, the show will offer an inclusive platform for participants to showcase diverse skills in a competitive format.
Addressing the media, Co-Owner of NE, Paul Vitsu, highlighted that “Dekhai Dibo” is the first of its kind in the state, designed to spotlight young and hidden talents from across Nagaland.
NE’s creative writer, Deepu, shared the inspiration behind the show, citing the Indian reality show India’s Got Latent by Samay Raina. Which was later shut down due to controversy, they were inspired by its open format, allowing participants to express any form of talent, unrestricted by category.
Each participant secretly gives themselves a score out of 10 to reflect their self-assessment. Judges will give their scores out of 10. The judges’ scores are averaged. After which, the participant will reveal their own score. If the participant’s self-score matches the judges’ average, they will be declared the winner.
He highlighted that they plan to shoot 8–9 episodes, depending on the number of participants, with each episode carrying a prize of Rs. 20,000. He also clarified that if there are multiple winners emerge, the Rs. 20,000 will be shared equally among the winners.
Judge Boss Meren, emphasized the show’s focus on fairness and clean competition. He also requested the audience’s support to uplift one another and emphasized that judging will be clean and without partiality.
Auditions are now open, and interested participants can apply by submitting a 90-second home video clip through the official website, www.nagamemesmanu.com. The last date for submissions is July 6, 2025. A panel of judges will shortlist entries based on the video submissions, after which live auditions will take place from July 24 to 26.
The show will be aired on the Nagamemes Manu YouTube channel, with the first episode expected to premiere in August 2025.
The judging panel features a diverse lineup to ensure fairness across art forms. Judges include Nagamemes Manu, Boss Meren, The Roving Naga, and Angap Ngapgang, vocalist of the renowned Woodland Band Kohima.
