Nagaland governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the members of the Chang community on the occasion of Poang Lüm Festival.
In his message, Bhalla said that Poang Lüm Festival stands as a testament to the enduring cultural heritage, unity and cherished traditions of the community. He said the festival provides an opportunity to reflect on shared values, strengthen social harmony and foster mutual understanding among all sections of society. Governor prayed that the spirit of Poang Lüm inspire peace, collective progress and renewed commitment to preserving rich cultural legacy.
In a social media post, chief minister Rio said Poang Lüm festival celebrates friendship, renewal of bonds, and heralds the upcoming cultivation season. “May the year ahead bring blessings of peace, harmony, prosperity, and abundant harvests,” the chief minister stated.
Meanwhile, greeting the Mech Kachari community on Aai-Sagi, Rio said he hoped the post-harvest festival would be a time of gratitude, strengthen friendship and unity, and usher in happiness and prosperity for all.
