Nagaland governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has extended greetings to the members of the Liangmai and Zeme communities on the occasion of Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi festivals respectively.
In his message, Bhalla said these vibrant celebrations mark the completion of the agricultural year and express gratitude to the Almighty for His abundant blessings. The governor expressed hope that the festivals strengthen the spirit of unity, peace and brotherhood among all communities, while preserving the “rich cultural heritage of our people.” He wished everyone celebrating Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi happiness, prosperity and continued progress.
Meanwhile, in a social media post, state chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio extended greetings to the Zeliang community on Chaga Gadi/Langsimnyi. “We thank the Almighty for His blessings of a bountiful harvest and good health, and honour our womenfolk for nurturing families and strengthening the community,” Rio said and prayed that the festivities further strengthen familial ties.
