Nagaland: Gov visits Dimapur; tours Kachari ruins

DIMAPUR

Governor of Manipur and Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, accompanied by his wife Jyoti Bhalla, arrived in Dimapur on January 31 as part of his official tour.
According to a DIPR report, the Governor paid homage at Gurudwara Marwari Patti, Dimapur, where he was accorded a warm welcome. On his arrival, Ardas and Samapti were held, followed by a welcome address delivered by S. Jaspal Singh, joint secretary of GPC. The Governor was felicitated and offered prayers, after which the programme concluded with Guru Ka Langar. The Governor also visited the ruins of the medieval Kachari kingdom, including heritage sites such as the mushroom pillars, various carvings and V-shaped memorial stones.
Later, he proceeded to Niathu Resort for lunch and subsequently attended scheduled engagements at RMS.
