Government Schools in Kiphire get Hanging Libraries

Hanging Libraries for three Government schools under Pungro block and two Government Schools under Khongsa Aspirational Block were distributed on October 29 at EBRC Hall Pungro Town.


Donated by Books For All (BFA) Noida, the collaborated an initiative of Piramal Foundation (Aspirational Bharat Collaborative) and EBRC Pungro aimed to make children inculcate the love of reading books and improve learning outcomes.


Hanrenla, Coordinator EBRC Pungro Block, while appreciating BFA Noida and Piramal Foundation said that the value of reading in children’s education was enormous and reading encourages several skills in children, such as language, vocabulary growth and creativity etc.


Lithsa, Piramal Foundation (ABC) said that the vision of instilling a reading culture, a small library of books comprising mainly story books and rhyme were targeted for primary and middle schools and wished that the collaborative will sow the seeds of cultivating the habit of reading by the children.


Beneficiaries of the hanging Library include: GMS Pungro Town, GMS Pungro Villlage, GMS Penkim, GMS Zaonger and GPS Fakim.
