Nagaland Governor, CM extend Good Friday greetings

Nagaland governor Nand Kishore Yadav and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended Good Friday greetings to the people of the state.
Governor Yadav said on the solemn occasion of Good Friday and the joyous celebration of Easter Sunday, he extended his greetings to the people of the state. He said Good Friday reminded of the supreme sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ and His message of love, forgiveness and compassion, while Easter signified hope, renewal and the triumph of life over death.
He expressed hope that the occasions would inspire unity, peace and harmony, and guide in building a just, inclusive and compassionate society.
In a post on X, Rio said on this solemn Good Friday, people reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, a sacrifice that transformed suffering into redemption and darkness into light. He expressed hope that its message would strengthen faith, renew hearts and inspire people to live with grace, courage and conviction.
Dy.CM: Meanwhile, deputy chief minister and BLP leader, Y. Patton, also extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Good Friday.
Patton stated that Good Friday is a sacred day observed across the world in remembrance of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. He said the day calls for prayer, repentance, and reflection on the sacrifice made for the redemption of mankind.
The deputy CM also said that Good Friday reminds believers of the power of love, forgiveness, and grace. He expressed hope that this holy occasion would renew faith and guide people to lead lives rooted in humility and compassion.
He also prayed that the solemn observance of Good Friday would bring spiritual strength and peace to all and foster unity and goodwill among the people.
