Nagaland governor, CM extend Mimkut greetings

Nagaland governor La Ganesan, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy CM Y Patton have extended greetings to the members of the Kuki community on the occasion of Mimkut festival.
In his message, Ganesan expressed hope that “this celebration of gratitude, unity and renewal” bring abundant blessings, prosperity and happiness into their lives.
“As we honour the harvest and pay homage to our ancestors, let us embrace the spirit of togetherness, cultural pride and harmony,” the governor stated and prayed that the traditions of Mimkut inspire all to cherish their roots, strengthen their bonds and work towards a prosperous future.
Ganesan also wished everyone good health, happiness and prosperity.
In a post on X, chief minister Rio greeted the Kuki community on Mimkut, the post-harvest festival of thanksgiving and paying homage to the ancestors. “May the celebration strengthen bonds of love and brotherhood,” Rio said and wished all a prosperous year ahead.
Patton: State deputy chief minister Y Patton has also greeted the Kuki community on the occasion of Mimkut festival.
In a message, Patton said that the Mimkut festival is celebrated in many parts of the north eastern states including Nagaland with much enthusiasm.
Patton, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, conveyed heartiest festive greetings and expressed hope that the festival was celebrated with a sense of brotherhood and inclusiveness.
