Nagaland Governor graces Rajasthan Divas

Nagaland Governor, Nand Kishore Yadav, graced the celebration of Rajasthan State Foundation Day at Lok Bhavan, Kohima, on April 11.
Extending greetings to the people of Rajasthan and members of the Rajasthan community in Nagaland, the Governor highlighted the rich cultural and historical legacy of the state, describing it as the “Land of Kings” symbolising courage, honour and royal heritage. He referred to Rajasthan’s iconic forts, vibrant traditions, folk arts and the enduring valour of figures such as Maharana Pratap.
Yadav remarked that celebrating Rajasthan Divas in Nagaland holds special significance, as both states, though geographically distant, share deep-rooted traditions, strong community values and resilience. He emphasised that such occasions embody Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, fostering unity, cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
Appreciating the Rajasthan community in Nagaland for their contributions towards social harmony and economic activities, the Governor said such events celebrate India’s diversity while reinforcing a shared national identity. He urged youth to embrace the ideals of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat by learning about diverse cultures and becoming ambassadors of national unity.
The programme featured vibrant cultural performances showcasing Rajasthan’s traditions, including dances by Teej Group, Navratri Group, Holi Group and Diwali Group, along with a traditional Chang Dhamal performance. Earlier, joint secretary to the Governor, Fiirhesie Nyuwi, delivered the welcome address.
