Nagaland Ground nut festival held at Ghokimi

DIMAPUR

Ground Nut festival organised by Ghokimi Village Council under Pughoboto Sub-division was held at Ghokimi local ground on November 12, with, Dr.Sukhato A.Sema MLA as the special guest.
In a DIPR report, Sema asserted that the festival is not just about a crops but is about the story of our people, ststing that the festival remind everyone that prosperity comes not only from the soil but also from the heart that honours God and stand with faith, unity and abundance.
He also encouraged the general public to extend connection with government schemes that support small scale food processing, storage and marketing and form cooperative society/farmers group to collect process, package and brand Ground Nut.
EAC Pughoboto, Yithachu Thur, acknowledged the ground Nut farmers of Ghokimi Village for their extraordinary contribution in the field of organic farming particularly the organic ground Nut cultivation and for promoting the sub division in the field of agriculture.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by VCC, Ghokimi Village, K. Vishepu Assumi, while vote of thanks was pronounced by GB Ghokimi Village, Ghunakha Shohe.
