The State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) collection for 2023-24 stood at Rs. 1,063.04 crore, marking a 10.83% increase from Rs. 959.09 crore in 2022-23. This includes an Advance Apportionment of IGST amounting to Rs. 11.30 crore, CAG report tabled in the recently conclude Assembly session stated.
Additionally, the State received Rs. 1,950.45 crore as its share of net proceeds from the Central GST, bringing the total GST receipts for 2023-24 to Rs. 3,013.49 crore. The State government reported no revenue loss due to GST implementation during the financial year.
Furthermore, no adjustment entries for SGST from previous years were carried out, ensuring that the increase in collection reflects the actual revenue growth.
