Nagaland: GSUCD 3rd annual sports meet 2025 concludes

The 3rd Annual Sports Meet 2025 of the Gorkha Students’ Union Chumoukedima District (GSUCD) concluded successfully on Monday in Chümoukedima with a vibrant closing ceremony that celebrated enthusiasm, sportsmanship and community unity.
The programme was graced by headmaster of Nagaland Police Central School Chümoukedima, Advisor of All Nagaland Private School Association (ANPSA) Chümoukedima Unit, and a noted entrepreneur, Bendangchuba Ao, as the guest speaker. In his address, Ao urged the youth to uphold discipline, dedication and perseverance through sports, underscoring its role in character building and leadership development.
Principal of North Town Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima and president of Gorkha Union Chümoukedima Town, Bishnu Chetri, also attended as a distinguished guest. He commended the organizers for the successful conduct of the sports meet and emphasized the importance of unity, healthy competition, and youth empowerment through such initiatives.
The ceremony featured the distribution of prizes to winning teams and outstanding players, along with words of appreciation for the volunteers, officials and participants whose tireless efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, and it was officially announced that the 2026 Sports Meet will be hosted by the Gorkha Youth & Students’ Union, Medziphema.
