Nagaland: Helicopter trial landings conducted in 5 districts

DIMAPUR, JAN 13 (NPN)

A trial landing of the Pawan Hans Dauphin twin-engine helicopter was successfully conducted at the helipads of Kohima, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Mokokchung and Phek districts on January 13, 2026.
According to a DIPR report, the trial marked a significant step toward the launch of helicopter services under the first phase of the RCS-UDAN scheme of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India.
Under this phase, the five districts would be connected to Dimapur, aiming to improve regional air connectivity and enhance accessibility across Nagaland.
